Just a few weeks before India adopts a unified form of indirect taxes under the GST regime, opinion are divided on its impact on the IT products and services baskets, with experts suggesting that end-customers would stand to gain through lower prices while the small retailers and distributors may face a negative impact, especially in the short to medium term. Another interesting story is on how IT channel helped customers from WannaCry ransomware. Yet another important news is that of Bharat QR Code which is the world’s first inter-operable payment acceptance solution and Bijlipay, a digital payment solutions company is now the first Indian Point-of-Sale (PoS) devices providing company to enable Bharat QR code on the screens of its POS machines and at present is facilitating 12000 merchants and aims for 50000 more.
